Census Workshop
Return to 2000census.org

Journalists and Census experts Paul Overberg of USA Today and Steve Doig of Arizona State University will lead these timely workshops covering the practical use of Census data for news stories. The latest series of workshops will include advice and tips for using the latest data releases on housing, occupation, income, property values, commuting times and education. Doig and Overberg will preview the practical application of the upcoming release of microdata with which journalists can do more probing analyses of their communities.

These intensive two-day sessions will be a fast-track lesson on what you need to know to start producing stories when the data begins to emerge. For more information about workshops or to schedule one on a specific topic or in a specific region, contact Training Director Ron Nixon.
